Junior States
Date: Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd March 2025

Location: WA Athletics Stadium

Entry: Entry is open to all Junior members in the Under 9 to Under 13 age groups. Athletes must be a registered Junior Member with Joondalup Athletics Centre.

Qualifications to enter Junior Championships: Athletes must qualify to enter the WA Junior Championships through the methods below:

Achieving the entry standard at a Junior Athletics Centre or Zone Championship Competition and/or
​
Automatically qualify at the Zones Championships by achieving

Top 3 placing in Long Hurdles, 800m, 1500m, Discus, Javelin or High Jump

Top 4 placings for Long Jump, Triple Jump or Shotput

Top 5 placings for 70m, 100m, 200m, 400m and Short Hurdle

Multi Class Athletes: Athletes in the Under 9 to Under 13 age groups are eligible to compete in the following events:

Multi Class athletes must have a State level classification in order to compete, but do not need to qualify by place or entry standard.

National Progression: The Australian Little Athletics Championships will take place in Adelaide from Friday 25th to Sunday 27th April 2025. This is a team based event for Junior Athletes in the Under 13 group. Only athletes who have nominated will be considered for selection in this event. Athletes must have competed at either the Senior State Championships or Junior State Championships, or both. Any result will be considered as part of the selection process.
